There is no entrance fee for the Keanae Arboretum, and the flat trail takes about thrity minutes to walk at a leisurely pace.  We suggest you use your bug spray before starting the walk – this is one part of the Road to Hana you don’t want to see without it!  The Keanae Arboretum contains native Hawaiian forestry and plants, some vegetation introduced from other places, as well as plants that were important food sources to native Hawaiians.  The best part is that everything is labeled, so you can learn a lot on this informative stop along the Hana Highway.
